2022
Romeo and Juliet. And Action.
Our 2022 Winter offering was a school show which ran in Artscape Weston Common’s Rockport Theatre, and was paired with in-school workshops.
Romeo and Juliet. And Action. is an interactive in-person theatre experience unlike any other: where students perform Shakespeare’s most famous play about love and family feuds alongside professional actors.
This play is the second instalment of our AND ACTION Series which saw us tour MACBETH AND ACTION to schools across the GTA in 2018.
Romeo and Juliet. And Action. won Crossroads Theatre’s first Dora Award.
Harabogee (할아버지) & Me
The Summer 2022 offering at Crossroads Theatre was Harabogee (할아버지) & Me, which ran August 16-28 in Memorial Park.
Helen is an energetic and impatient six-year old whose family moved to the Mount Dennis community from South Korea. She wants to play with her Harabogee (grandfather), but Harabogee would rather tell Helen Korean stories he grew up learning. Harabogee (할아버지) & Me is a fun, family-friendly, and imaginative story that follows Harabogee recounting Korean folktales to his grand-daughter. Over one hour, four actors embody tigers, deer, frogs and seeds as Harabogee seeks to instill in Helen a deeper appreciation and understanding of where she comes from.
